2005 was the year of celebration as Ezra Ministries
purchased land in Harrietsfield, Nova
Scotia, Canada which will accomidate a multi-faceted
center of operations for Ezra Ministries and Alliance
Holy Fellowship Church. There is still much work to
be done on the land. Renovations to the existing buildings
are currently under way to serve as a temporary church
for Alliance Holy Fellowship as well as office space
for the headquaters of Ezra Ministries International.
Obtaining 1000
Old Sambro Road
Our objective for this ministry from the beginning
was to find a piece of land that would accommodate
a multi-faceted center of operations - one that would
house a headquaters for Ezra Ministries International
and its many facets of administration and departments
and one which would house a worship center for Alliance
Holy Fellowship, our first church plant in Halifax.
This was not an easy task as it required us to be
steadfast, strong and faithful in the face of opposition,
battles and false hopes. It is with full confidence
that we can testify to the faithfulness of our God
in securing the land He had ordained for His glorious
outpourings of salvation, healing and deliverance.
Satan had determined to keep us from obtaining our
blessing with his evil forces of darkness but glory
to God, his power has been broken. The piece of land
he was holding with his ugly hand in the heavenly
realms has finally been released from the heavenlies
to us. (Ephesians 6:12; Daniel 10).
This fierce battle for ownership began in 1998 when
a forty-seven acre parcel of land went up for sale
at 1000 Old Sambro Road in Harrietsfield. After prayer
and waiting upon the Lord, it was evident to us that
this was the place where God wanted us to settle down.
However, it was not to be - at least not yet. Due
to miscalculations and unanticipated circumstances,
the opportunity to purchase the land was lost. Instead
our promised land was sold to a businessman who was
planning on using the land for profit. At the time
it was very disheartening to have someone else take
the land out from under our noses but we decided to
lay hold of God's promise and continue in prayer,
believing that God would lead us into His promise
land in due time.
Five years passed and we were elated to see the land
go up for sale agian in August 2005. It was time to
take back what the enemy had stolen. If we thought
the battle had been difficult up to that point, we
had no idea how ferocious the fight against the powers
of darkness would be to secure this land. It was a
relentless battle waged between Christ and His angels
and Satan and his wicked hosts to see who would conquer
1000 Old Sambro Road. As faithful soldiers of the
Cross, although uprepared financially, we believed
decided to lay siege to our land. Throughout the whole
month of September and October, we pursued the devil
until he lost the fight and was forced to give back
our land. On November 10, 2005, 10000 Old Sambro Road
was purchased for the glory of the Lord. Amen! "Great
is Your faithfulness O Lord."
Construction is now in progress at our new location
on Old Sambro Road. An existing building is being
renovated to serve as a temporary church until we
are able to break ground for the construction of a
70'X166' church building for Alliance Holy Fellowship.
With the addition of five more rooms, comes the expense
of building supplies and materials. We desperately
need your prayers and financial support so the work
may continue. Please, if you can help in any way through
finances or manual labor, we invite you to come and
help us and be blessed in this work of love.
Dear brothers and sisters, we at Ezra Ministries
would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts
for every time you remembered to mention us in your
prayers. I personally would like to thank you for
your prayers and ask that you continue to remember
us. Keep on praying so that the vision for this ministry
may continue to unfold its mysteries. Our heart's
desire is to see many people saved both here in Halifax
and overseas to the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In closing, I want to leave you with this message
of hope from the book of Habakkuk. It says, "For
the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the
end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it
tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry. “Behold the proud, His soul
is not upright in him; But the just shall live by
his faith. – Habbakkuk 2:3-4
