shelter and life skills.
A transient place for those who are trying to put
their lives back together.
A safe place and refuge for the troubled, lonely and
cast away.
Source of wholeness for every person; body, mind and
spirit.
Source of reform, restitution and restoration.
Source of fellowship and acceptance.
Examples:
1. Drug addicts have come clean. These people as a
result of giving their lives to Jesus Christ and through
counselling and follow up programs, have kicked the
drug addiction.
2. Prostitutes have regained a new life. We have
seen prostitutes change their degrading lifestyle
to become well respected, loving individuals with
good jobs, good families and good kids. Once again
this has come about as a result of giving their lives
to Jesus Christ and through counselling and training
in life skills.
3. Many youth who had no hope for the future have
found support and encouragement in our services to
them. Self esteem has been restored and a new lease
on life to study hard and gain a college degree has
prompted them to pursue life with great passion and
expectation.
4. Special needs children have received spiritual,
mental and emotionally support in regaining the desire
to achieve and excel academically. They have successfully
completely junior and senior high school with a hope
to increase their knowledge and skills by working
towards a college degree.
5. Prison inmates after receiving Jesus Christ as
their personal Saviour have changed dramatically.
They exhibited such a high standard of behaviour,
they were no longer deemed a threat to society and
some were pardoned and released.
6. Needy families in the community have been provided
with food, clothing and shelter and have also received
emotional and spiritual counselling to set them on
a path of hope and happiness.
During the past nine years of operation in Halifax,
Ezra Ministries has served the Halifax Regional Municipality
community in diverse ways through many arms of the
ministry as follows:
